Bun (thit nuong) Cha (gio) Que – Grilled Pork Noodle with Fried Spring Rolls.
Not to confuse with Bun Cha Ha Noi, this is a “hybrid” version of Hanoi style and HCMC’s. Tendered, well-marinated pork grilled to perfection (if you don’t come during peak hrs) in glazing sauce. Drizzle the Viet’s national sauce (Fish sauce), give the dish a light toss, anddd dig in!
“Cha” here refers to the Fried Spring Rolls as what people from my parents’ region called. Some call it “Nem”. “Cha” also refers to the grilled pork patty in Bun Cha Ha Noi. That’s why I prefer customer to tell me they want Fried Spring Rolls even they are Vietnamese because I need to make sure I get it right.
At Que, you have the options to add in additional toppings like additional fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, vegetable (broccoli), fried egg, or upsize the pork to make it a fulfilled, healthy and balanced meal.
Despite different customers prefer different dishes, this is definitely the crowd’s favourite. Read reviews from miss Tam Chiak and Ladyironchef on this dish:
